Anybody admitted to RN-BSN at Rutgers?

Published

Hi, I have been admitted to RN-BSN at Rutgers-Newark.

They sent me the notification about 3 weeks ago. Since then, I haven't heard anything from them. I

really want to find out my transfer credit and summer session info. I have tried callling nursing campus and it's

hard to reach them.

I know they have general ed requirement which include literature and

anthropology and i would like to take it during the summer at local community college. If I really want to take it

this summer, i should apply local community school now and register for those classes.

Did I choose the right school???? if anybody knows about what's going on with them, please let me know.

I have being trying to talk to someone at Rutger's regarding their Rn to BS/MS program for MONTHS!!!! They have a recording on their phone and never return any messages. After leaving 8 messages over 5 weeks I finally sent an email to the Dean of the school of nursing Dr. Holzemer and he responded in minutes telling me to whom he was forwarding my email, then four weeks later I still had not heard from that woman so I wrote her (of course copying the dean's letter) and in less than an hour received a copy of an email she sent to someone else. I am still at it trying to find out transfer courses and what I can take locally.

I think you should register for the courses at your local college over the summer, the website is pretty clear about which courses need to be taken at Rutger's. I think you are safe with anthropolgy and lit.

Good luck!

I was also accepted to Rutgers RN to BSN New Brunswick campus.

I also found it difficult to get someone on the phone who can help me. I ended up calling the nursing office directly. I couldn't even tell you how I got the number. Maybe the information line. I also left a message at the number they give in the acceptance letter and that message has never been returned. I had better luck just calling the dean's office and explaining what I wanted to know when a real person was on the phone.

I think as far as official transcript evaluations, they want to wait until your spring grades are in. You could probably call and get an unofficial eval. Just explain that you want to register for summer classes.

I am trying to figure out what I can take locally that will satisfy the Organic Biochem requirement. Anyone else know the answer to this? I need to figure it out soon but I'm just trying to get through this semester!

Have any of you heard about when orientation is or the registration period? I just saw my acceptance this morning and I am freaking out cause of the deadlines being 2 wks away. I was getting ready to register for courses with FDU next week and then this happens which is great cause Rutgers was my number one choice but I need info as to when we can get academic advisement and all that good stuff. Any info would be great!

I just found that orientation is July 14th 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM . You log in to rutgers homdpage and go to enrollment pathway, then you must register for the orientaiton. At orientation, we get the academic advisement and registration information. Hope to see you there. =)

Do you need any sciences, such as pathophysiology or any another? The reason I ask is because I was doing mock schedules to see what classes were still open and alot of them were already closed for Fall 2010 which is crazy cause I'm sure they've accepted at least 60 people into the program but what do I know. I guess I'm just nervous about the decision I'm making. I got accepted to FDU and was about to start the process with them so hopefully I'm not making a mistake.

I just got into the rn to bsn pogram starting from fall, i have most of the requirements done so do you guys have any idea how long it takes?
