UMDNJ's Admin loss my stuff.

Dear Mzchas:

I am so sorry to learn of your problem. I can certainly understand your frustration. I am the marketing and communications director at UMDNJ School of Nursing and I can assure you that the School's goal is to serve applicants and students. Any mix ups are looked at very carefully and we would want to do whatever we can to resolve issues. Feel free to reply to me privately with your contact info so that we can look at your case.

Best regards,

Lynn

Why is UMDNJ not accepting foreign bachelor degree for the ABSN program. I really need to know....

I'm sorry to hear that cosy. What did the administrator say when you spoke with them as to their reason? Have you also tried any other ABSN programs in NJ/NY?

Thanks, no one has the answer to the question.... When u call to ask a question, sometimes the receiver is irritated. I thought maybe the marketing/ communication director would have an explanation for their decision to stop accepting foreign degrees.

Hey guys, I have gotten accepted into UMDNJ accelerated nursing program starting this Fall 2011 and I was wondering if anyone else got in? I want to live off campus at a safe place. Does anyone want to room together? Any suggestion as to where to live? Please let me know. Thank you guys

advice is welcomed...please share : )

i have been looking into umdnj's accelerated bsn program for a while now. i will graduate in may with a bsn but after graduation i am going to start my pre-reqs for the nursing program. i do not think that social work is for me. i have a gpa of 3.6 as of now. i took psychology my freshman year in college and received a "c" in the class. i know umdnj says that a grade of "c" or higher is necessary to have the credits transferred. do you think i should take this course again at a community college? also, what community college in nj should i attend in order to complete my pre-reqs? i would hate to complete my pre-reqs and have umdnj not accept the credits because the school doesn't find that the course is equivalent (or for another reason). another question that i had was do you think i will be able to work full time and earn my do my accelerated bsn program part-time?

these are umdnj's pre-req courses:

  • anatomy & physiology i and ii (8 credits with lab)*
  • microbiology (4 credits with lab)*
  • chemistry (4 credits with lab)*
  • statistics (3 credits)
  • psychology (3 credits) ††
  • humanities or social science (3 credits)

take the prerequisites at any community college. i took mine at two different cc's and had no problem. just make sure you hand deliver everything to the admissions office at umdnj. back when i applied, the "c" grades weren't an issue, but looking at posts on here from others who have recently applied, they were getting rejected. so, retake it if you can to be on the safe side. maybe the admission dept are getting tougher due to the increased amt of applicants.

if you want to work full time and earn your bsn, the part-time route is the best route. i'm not in the part-time program (as it wasn't available when i started), but i've heard great feedback on the program. i heard that route is very doable. good luck.

I went to an information session at UMDNJ in stratford two weeks ago. You HAVE to have an A or B in A&P. They said retake three class if you get a C.
