Any UCSF Mepn Applicants?

Hi everyone--

Has anyone else out there applied to the UCSF MEPN program? They're supposed to send out letters this month (December) for the interview process. Has anyone gotten a letter yet? Will those that aren't asked to the interview process get a rejection letter now?

Yes! I just got the acceptance email! I can't wait! I'm thrilled! Congratulations to everyone else! What programs are you in? I'm in Family.

ysinx, I am going to be in the FNP program as well! Did I meet you at the interview? I was at the 1/16 PM interview. Congratulations, can't wait to meet all my fellow MEPN '09ers! YAY! -Tony

I was in the 23rd AM interview, so I assume we did not meet :). I'm very excited to meet everyone. Do you live in the bay area already?

me too! I couldn't stop crying or shaking.....I had to get my coworkers to read the letter to make sure I wasn't reading it wrong.

Talk about a good way to start the weekend! I can't wait to meet all of you and the rest of our class! I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared though (of the intensity of the program). Nonetheless, its rejoicing time!

schmooper - i, too, cannot wait to meet everyone. we are all going to be going through an intense program, and i am sure we will be building lifelong relationships with each other as we get through a year of boot camp. i think cocktails are in order for this evening!

Seriously! I'm very nervous for the program, and also nervous about finishing my MPH and my online anatomy class before classes start in June!

I'm in Portland, OR. Any suggestions about where to look for housing? I'm thinking near UCSF because I won't have a car...

craigslist.org is great for the bay area renter's market. be prepared for high housing costs, but you CAN find affordable rooms in houses. you might want to check out the presidio area as well. good luck hunting!
