Hi there,
I've just been accepted into my dream nursing school, and I start studying in March. I've heard that nursing school isn't easy, and am wondering if anyone has any tops tips for new students. I'm extremely organised, and a pretty hard worker (if my high school final marks are anything to go by). Please note that I live in Sydney, Australia so things might be a bit different from American nursing schools. :) xx

If you are organized and hard working then I think you will be fine. Everyone learns differently. Some people take LOTS of notes. Others just listen to the lectures and read their books. I am NOT a note taker. My tip would be to read the chapter that you are going over PRIOR to class. This way you have a better understanding when you hear the lecture. Also, you will be better prepared to ask a question that you might have, if the professor doesn't go over it during lecture. I also found multiple color highlighters helpful. My last tip is....use Allnurses.com!!! There are many helpful people here. Some are going through what you are and others that have been there and done that!!! Best of luck to you!!!
