You bet I use a rolling backpack...and my shoulders are ever so grateful! Especially on those icy mornings when you park in the "back 40" of the parking lot! However, in the nursing program you'll need something more sturdy and durable. My friends have found a rolling carry on suitcase-like thing at Big Lots for about $20. Who cares if you look like a nerd? Believe me, your shoulders will thank you!
I' m a graduate and I (as well as 90% of my classmates) used rolling backpacks for all two years! A tote bag is ideal for clinical, but for on campus, the rolling backpack is the best. Plus it was good to stash some snacks in for the days you stayed over to go to practice lab, study, etc.
Good luck to you!
Oh yeah baby...rolling backpack all the way. Why work so hard when you don't have to?
When I first started using it I felt kinda nerdy, but that passed real quick and I looked on with sympathy at the 'cool' people killing themselves carrying 25 pounds of books on their shoulder. Ha ha! Dummies.

OK...I have a bet with my daughter and need to know who won. Do any of you use rolling backpacks? If so, what percentage do?
My daughter is convinced that I would be the only "Nerd"
but I feel that may not be the case. Help...lunch is riding on this one. Thanks!!
