all nursing schools vary in pre-reqs, i was wondering does any one know any schools (university or community college) in IL that require the least amount of nursing pre-reqs? i was looking at some colleges and some want anatomy and physiology 1 or both done...but some other schools have that in the core nursing program.

Richard J. Daley Community College doesn't require that many prereqs. And you only have to be eligible to take A&P 1 which means that you must have taken Biology I. I put the link below for you.

if you already have your undergrad, DePaul does not require a lot of pre-reqs. You must have 2 semesters of A&P (or 2 semesters of bio) and 2 semesters of Chem (pref. org & inorg). Then you take the GRE - and thats it.
Good luck!

Some of the community colleges offer classes withing the core nursing program. You usually need to take the basic pre-reqs before you can apply and then do A&P, micro, etc. with your nursing classes. Most people I talk to finish both the pre-reqs and the co-reqs first though because once you are in the nursing program it is very difficult to keep up with everything. Best Wishes.

I actually got into St. Xavier's BSN program without having taken A&P. Good luck!
