I am starting as well on March 1. Make sure to join the facebook group! I can't link it here but search for it..
I looked but couldn't find one specific to informatics- maybe it's too new? Have you found out yet which classes you will have to take? I hope my speech class cancels out intro to communications.
Me too! Hoping to start in March, but I'm still waiting on transcript review and a few other enrollment tasks.
Same here. I already did my background check and uploaded my resume, but those aren't checked off on my screen. I will have to do biochem I know, statistics, and government (boo!).

Betsy, search FB for "WGU MSN Informatics". My request to join hasn't been approved yet, but I think this is the right group.
Yes, that is the right one!! I am doing the BSN-MSN. I'd also advise joining one of the BSN groups to get more information on the undergrad classes.

Hi. I'm looking into the MSN informatics program with WGU and I wanted some feedback to how you like the program and how much time do you usually spend each week in terms of workload. Thanks!

I'm currently in the final phases of enrollment in WGU for the MSN Informatics route; I've my interview this coming Wednesday (transcripts evaluated, background check done, etc.). Right now I'm still trying to work on what will work as a start date.

Hi featherzrn- how long did the program take for you to complete? I'm not too familiar with their layout, do you take tests? have you found a job in this field? Thank you
I don't work in Informatics, but I work in clinical documentation so it was the closest fit for a degree since I have no interest in management or teaching.. I'd review the other posts in this forum for how WGU works, but most of the classes are papers or projects (such as visio, access, powerpoint, etc) with a few tests sprinkled in. The program took me two months, but keep in mind it was my third WGU degree and I know the system well. Plus I had the time. YMMV. :)
