I just started this program & wondering if there are any recent graduates out there that can ease my nerves & give some advice.

Ease your nerves about what in particular?
I got the RN a year ago, through EC.
:)
I am just looking over the info for the Transitions test & it is a lot of info! I bought the ECE study guide CD's from ebay, anything else I can use to study by?
Use the texts that EC recommends. Med/surg, peds, maternal/child, pharm. Take sticky notes and stick them on the chapters the EC study guide says to read. And take the practice exams. They're worth every penny.

1. Don't start the program with alot of distractions and stress in your life.
2. Evaluate your learning style and determine that your an independent learner.
Many get caught up in the idea of the program when they know they are not
distant learners
3. Make a committment to study the material and take the test in a reasonable
time frame. They give you 7 yrs to finish but really it should take 2 yrs or
less if your motivated.
4. This program is doable if you are committed and study hard. This is not an
Easy Way Out type of program. It has its challeges.
5. The CPNE is tough but several pass it. IT CAN BE DONE!
6. Don't tell alot of people that your doing EC. Many have negative opinions
about the program and that doesn't help your stress level.
When I completed EC Feb 20th only 2 people on my job knew. My boss was so shocked when I handed her my RN licenses. It was classic! Then everyone wanted to know about the program and sign up. I got nothing but praise from nurse managers when I went on interviews for nursing jobs this past March. I was offered 3 jobs with only 18 months of LPN experience.
