Any other "second career" students out there?

Are there any other second career students out there? Or older students? I am attending nursing school after an 18 year career in I/T Learning and Development and I'd like to hear about the experiences and challenges of others in the same situation. How about getting into a nursing program - wait lists and such for those of us with little time to waste and balancing finances and families?

Snap I thought I was the only one out there. crazy huh?

Im 26 and had a BA and worked in IT for 2years, hate being in a corporate environment and in a cubee. Thought life was over b/c my gpa was under 3.0. Guess it all works out, love working with people, love vol in the hosipital.

This forum is sweet, let's me know that im not the only one on the planet to retrain at 25 plus.
