hi all,
I am looking at ADN programs in MA. I am in MetroWest right now, possibly moving to the South Shore in 1-2 yrs. I was looking at MassBay (I would have to take MANY courses at MassBay in order to get enough credits to be considered for admission, sigh...).
I saw that Quincy College had a really high pass-rate, and it turns out would be very convenient to attend after our move. I was wondering if anyone here has gone through their ADN program, especially their 2.5 yr pt-time program? Some questions:
What kind of wait list do they have right now?
What are their criteria for admission (aside from having the pre-reqs done)?
Could you talk about how their nursing courses/labs/clinicals are scheduled?
Were you happy with the program/professors?
Thanks so much!

Hi,
I too went to QC and was in both part time and full time. I do not think that the full time was a lot easier than the part time. I just think you have a little more time to digest the information in full time. Lecture classes are 2.5 hours opposed to 4.5 hours in part -time. I highly recommend getting a recorder for your classes. It is amazing what you miss while you are trying to take notes.
While I feel I received a good education from QC, I also feel that they are not readily available for there students. On several occassions I asked for help, but was always faced with the fact that they were too busy. They have tutoring, but I did not find it helpful. Overall, I think they are a good school, but if you find yourself needing help, make sure you get it. Best of luck.
