:rotfl: Just graduated Quincy, great program, very intense. I work at MGH and found that Quincy prepared me with a very strong base. I am taking my boards soon. I wish you luck, it is a lot of work but I really think you will like the school.
To Kristin and JaniceM -
CONGRATULATIONS on graduating, and good luck on the NCLEX!! I'm so glad to hear you felt well-prepared with a strong base... I am a Jan '05 waitlisted hopeful. Where did you end up at MGH, which department? I hear they have a great ICU orientation for new grads... just curious!
Crossing my fingers for your NCLEX exams!!

Dr. Phil Berardi- by far, the most knowledgable and caring science teacher of all time. If it were not for his A&P, I would not know my back side from my elbow
follow his lead and you will achieve.......

Kristin G, or anyone else who might comment:
What was the Allied Health Admissions test like? I see it is a prereq for all the program offerings at QC.
Thanks. Craig.

The test was not that hard in my opinion. There was basic math, reading comprehension, and sentence structure.
gerry79,
Thank you so much. Which program did you take at QC? Were you happy with it? I'm thinking about a career change, and may be moving to the Plymouth area. Craig.
I am in the part time RN program. I just started in September, and have my first nursing class next month. I cant really judge the program yet, as I have not taken any nursing classes, but talking to several students has given me a good feeling about the program. I am also changing careers, and will retire from my current job after graduating from nursing school.
I agree with Gerry... very basic. I bought one of those GED Review books to take some practice examples first, which I thought helped... it had been awhile since I've taken one of those! Good luck! Sign up for the test early, I hear they've been backed up with people wanting to take it.... mara
mom2three,
Do you remember the GED books? Thanks for your input. Craig.

I liked it because it came with a CD-ROM... I got it off Amazon.com... my only advice to you, is to pay attention to the Sentence Structure... it's tricky!
Thanks Mara.
How was the math part? Any other subjects covered? About how long did it take to complete? Anyone can answer these... thx. craig.
