Any Opinions on When to Decline an Acceptance Offer?

i just received an acceptance to my first-choice school, but before that i had just accepted the offer of admission to another school.

i don't want to be taking someone's possible spot in the acceptance list if i'm leaning towards another school, but i want a something to fall back on. i don't think i'm actually accepted to the school until i have my class schedule in my hands and wearing the uniform. anyone in the same position?

Go with your first choice school. Just call and let the other school know. They won't ask questions. It's a school.. they go through hundreds of people. They're not attached to you and won't be upset with you. Let someone else have your spot so you can go to the school you want. It's a no-brainer to me! A lot of times we feel bad about declining offers because we think we'll hurt their feelings or look bad to them.. trust me, they don't care :)

Go with the one you want. It's definitely not too late to change your mind.

I bet all those alternates whose lives are on hold, praying for a call from the schools, wish you'd give up one of the spots immediately, since you're not using it.
