Just wanted to see if their was anyone who would be starting the same time I will be. Good luck to everyone!

I wanted to be at southwest! I registered probably 30 seconds after it hit 6:00 and it was already full! I am at marymount

:0( that sucks... I don't know where Marymount is. I hit submit as soon as it hit 6. I'm glad I got it.... I work right down the street from southwest and live like 2 mins away from there. Maybe we having lecture or lab together lol :)

Me too... They seemed really nice at orientation.

They did, indeed! I like the fact that the dean of nursing is the woman who worked for ACEN in the past. I wonder if that is just a coincidence or a strategic recruitment. I cannot wait to start. By the way, which stethoscope are you all buying? I want Littmann cardiology 3 or in that category but that thing is pretty darn expensive ;(!

My mother surprised me with a Littmann Classic II S.E. Stethoscope. She got in online from all nurses. I'm a little concerned because She got me the raspberry pink one lol ... it seems awesome at the time, but at orientation the lady said no bright colors. :0/ I hope they don't say anything about it. She got my name engraved on it so I can't return it.

Do you like Classic II? Really, they told you not to get bright colors? What are they thinking, should we all just get dull white?! Hmm, I don't think it was ever mentioned at my orientation. I wanted to get orange or red! I love bright colors, and it't easier to spot your scope if someone "borrows" it.

lol I know! I love bright colors also ... they make you happy... Anyway she said was originally talking about sneakers and how the can have very little colors but it couldn't be anything bright... Someone mentioned something about a stethoscope and she said again keep it professional. I took that as she was saying don't come in with a hot pink stethoscope lol... Idk I guess I'll see when I get to class.... It's ok I've been listening to everyone's heart and lungs with it ....It sound great to me... But then I don't really know yet what I'm listening for.... :0)

Thank you for the info. I guess I've just waved godbuy to the orange scope ;(

Lol I'm wearing my hot pink one until someone tells me not to. When I went to metro to return some papers one of the students had a bright green one... It almost glowed....lol I don't think they'll say anything...

I work right down the street from southwest too! But i guess it's ok that I got marymount because I won't be working on clinical days anyways

And I am getting a purple stethoscope :)

No one cares what color stethoscope you buy; that isn't even mentioned in the dress code in the student handbook. As a matter of fact, it's probably a good idea to get one that is a little differently colored, because that way people will be less likely to walk off with yours.
