Hi everyone. I am an Lpn.. Made it half way through RN program but got very ill and went the LPN route to start work faster and get healthcare. So far I have been dx with SLE, RA And Sjögren's. I would like to go back to school but I am making decent money, great health insurance now, working 4 days a week which is considered FT and am comfortable where I am for the most part. I do have lots of pain And have lost lots of weight but my organs are ok now. I like being a bedside nurse and do not want a less physically labor full job although most docs think that'd be best.. To find work in a doc office or insurance company. Any way im getting off topic. Any nurses out there with illness? Just wanted people to relate to and share your stories thank you :)

Yes, I have stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis. I struggle daily with it and some days are better than others. Sometimes I push through and other times it knocks the knees from under me. It's a lot of stress dealing with it because you can't predict when you are going to have a bad day. That makes working in a 9-5 office a good choice. It wasn't fun when I had to take post-op open hearts.
