Beaufort is a long way from Columbia. Hilton Head, Hardeeville which is Coastal, and Beaufort Memorial are within an hour of each other. Charleston's hospital is a big center, its about an hour and a half drive and there is construction going on so the drive sucks, I would not advise it. Of the three, the pay is all very similar to each other, they are all little hospitals, Hilton Head does do the simplest of simple open hearts. Savannah, GA is about an hour away as well, its an easy drive, a couple of big, nice hospitals with lots of openings, the pay is poor however, and you must have a GA license, it is not a compact state. You can private message me for more information if you like.

There are 3 mjr hospitals in Columbia, Lexington Medical, Palmetto Richland/Baptist and then Providence. Starting is anywhere from 18.48-20 + it really depends.. Richland is the easiest from what I hear to get into as a new grad. I work at Lexington and it is great hospital to work at , I have friends at the others.. it all depends on what you are looking for...
