Any Nurse Practitioners work at a Medical Marijuana Referal Clinic?
Please share your experiences, I'm going to interview at one to see what it's all about, some / any info will help.
Thanks.

I've actually wondered about the legality of Nurse Practitioners prescribing medical marijuana in states that allow its use. Does anyone know about it. Is it handled like any other narcotic (DEA registration ect...)

Hmmm - just curious what states this is legal in? I think I remember reading something about it in California?
What exactly would you do there?
I know there are about 14 states that allow it, though federal law still prohibits its use. I few days ago there was something in the news about New Jersey allowing its medical use and thats when I started wondering about it.

An interesting question would be : what are the implications for medical professionals that test positive for cannibus while in possession of a doctors order for same? I'm sure this must have come up by now.
As for NPs, this web site states NPs in Oregon and Washington State can write for it.
and i noticed thier website was kind enough to leave a cell phone contact :) lol

We have it in MT and NPs can sign for the "Green card" (as it is known here).
