Please Help!
I always want to make a follow up on my papers, I am having a hard time calling the NVC, is there anyone out here who can help me... I often times get stuck with "press 1 for english, press2 for spanish (then a spanish translator repeating the message) ... but it wont recognize my response to the instruction.
Is there other number you know other than (603) 334-0700 ? I hope you can help me, I'm having this weird feeling that my agency is not doing their job that's why I want to hear it myself.
I would really appreciate your help... Thanks

All you need to do is get the receipt number from your agency, that is proof that they submitted the petition in the first place. Do you actually have a number yet given to you?
Sorry, but if you are not trusting your agency at this point, perhaps it would be a good idea not to be under them in the first place.
There is also a retrogression in place, so unless you are already thru everything and just waiting for a visa number to be assigned, you are going to be waiting for some time, and a considerable amount of it.
I feel that my agency are too slow and needed a push on my application but I just cant back out on them.
Last may 22, my agency ask for an updated DS230 because (according to them) the NVC is asking for it. (only to find out that a retrogression will again take place), for which I dont blame them.
This is why I wanted to contact the NVC myself to know the real status, If they already have my updated DS230 ... will they be sending a notice that they receive the document?

you could be having a problem with your phone if it is having problems recognizing your response. I have no problems checking my file with NVC. The other option you could email them with your receipt number and wait for them to reply which can take a few days/weeks depending on how busy they are. They do reply just not straight away
Thanks silverdragon... Do we have a different type of phone? because i have been calling the NVC several times using different phone lines (thinking one is different from the other ) and it just wont work.
Last night my aunt in New York called up and I sneaked in few minutes and asked her to call the NVC and have me in a 3-way call, and surprisingly I heard the next word after the press 1 and press 2 ...
To cut the long story short... I was able to make a follow up.
