I will definitely keep you in my prayers! So as a finished student... Do you have any advise for us?

Yes, My advise to you, is that buy as many Nclex book you can, specially the Saunders the most recent edition. Also sign up for the magazine "Nursing Made Incredible Easy". And please kiss Mrs. Riedy butt and you will be ok ahahhahah

Wish you MUCH luck on the NCLEX! good_luck.gif

I'm a LSCC student, any advice on the HESI entrance test???? I heard that the book you can buy is absolutely no good! I have a 3.85 GPA ( out of 72 credits from other degree) and all A's on my sciences n maths... Should I be worried?

My advise is not to sweat the HESI... It's basic Math and reading comprehension. Just do your best! Sounds like your GPA is great; that combined with a good HESI should get you in... Good luck!

Two questions: 1) Do you feel that LSCC prepared you well for the NCLEX?

2) Is it true we get paid during clinicals on the second year, or did someone b.s.'d me...?

1 - I am currently a second year, so I can't speak personally, but I can tell you that last year LSCC had 100% pass rate, and the highest scores in the state. So far this year, every student that I know, that has taken it, has passed, so I'd say they are pretty well prepared.

2 - LMAO!!! I don't mean to sound harsh, but someone was definately BS'ing you! You never get paid for clinicals, it's free labor. However, once you finish your first semester of nursing school you can work at the hospital as a Tech and get paid, but that is not to be confused with your clinicals.

I hope I have helped answer your questions! =)

Thank you!!! I'll keep ya'll posted on my Hesi scores...

Oh!!! Do you think AP2 and Microb in one semester is way too much?
