Has anyone heard of Global Health Nurse Training Services? I found it on the internet that has 12 month LPN program. Just wondering if it is reputable. Does anyone have any suggestions for LPN program in the DC/ Northern VA area?

i checked out the website i didn't see anything about how much the program was! If you dont mind me asking how much is the tuition there?

thank you

Was the representative able to tell you how long is the ECPI LPN course runs? I think $24,000 in tuition is alot but if it is decent program then it is worth it. It seems as though there is at least 2 year waiting list for RN programs in Northern VA, so this may be better route...

program progression

the practical nursing curriculum is presented in four semesters over a twelve (12) and eighteen (18) month period. each semester must be taught in sequence to allow progression from basic concepts of nursing to advanced practice and leadership roles.

the first semester provides the foundation courses that support the framework of the program. this semester also introduces core concepts that are utilized throughout the curriculum. nursing skills are taught in the laboratory and clinical settings. courses taught include foundations of nursing i, ii, iii, anatomy and physiology with medical terminology, pharmacology and normal life span.

the second semester allows the students to apply theoretical knowledge to clinical practice. the focus of these courses includes health promotion, health maintenance, and health restoration. opportunities for experience in caring for clients are provided to coordinate with classroom instruction. this semester introduces the students to the care of individuals and families from conception through the childbearing years. concepts of mental health across the lifespan are also introduced. courses taught include medical surgical nursing i, ii, iii, college composition i and microcomputer application.

during the third semester the focus is on application of the nursing process to the care of clients across the life span with acute, chronic and complex needs. students are given the opportunity to gain cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills in the care of patients. advance practice skills are also introduced. courses taught include acute care nursing i, ii and iii.

the final semester focuses on the leadership and management role of the practical nurse. opportunities are provided to integrate nursing theory with leadership and management theory. students collaborate to explore the role of the practical nurse in the context of nursing care delivery systems. nursing leadership provides the student with a transition from the role of student to practical nurse.

Can you tell me about the program at CTS? How long? What is your course load and schedule for classes? tuition?

thanks
