Not sure if this is the right place for this kind of discussion. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm April, 19 and will be attending laguardia this fall as a freshman. :unsure:I'm not in the clinical phase yet, so I believe the school consideres me an Undeclared Health major until I do reach it. Just wondering is anyone starting out at laguardia as well and perhaps we could get to know each other. :D

microbiology sounds harder than anatomy to me

Maybe the lecture part but the lab is easier and more fun.

Thank you all so much for your recommendations. If I have to retake AP I'll definietly sign up for his class.

BTW, one more day until we all find out! Good luck everyone :)

Hey guys! How did you guys do?? Did you get accepted?

Luckily I did.

Hi guys! Congrats on those who got in. Out of curiosity, what's on the schedule once you receive confirmation you get in? Orientation? How does the classes once you're in the program go?

I am applying for candidacy this coming Fall I sem. and hoping I get in. Struggling with A&P 1 though, being that I am taking it now (with another class) and its a 6 week sem. -_-

I seriously messed up and should've taken the SCC110 one before I started A&P but can't do anything now.

Who are/were your Chem prof.? Any good recs?

And (for people who have already taken both), in your opinion which is harder, SCB 203 or 204?

I feel like I'm getting an A- or B+ on this and its making me super nervous. Too much info in such a short time.

in orientation, they give you your nursing schedule; it's not a pick or choose thing. Whatever schedule they give you is set. However, for those that didn't take the other pre-req courses have to pick those classes out themself. Another thing, In order to advance into the second semester of nursing, one must have had completed SSY240 and MAT120

I think scb203 was harder because it was new

I had Humara Sultana for SCC110 check her out. She cares about her students and is ready to answer if you have questions and would not even move to another topic unless you understand what she's teaching you. I would say 204 is harder because it's more on memorizing the parts and knowing the function of each part compared to 203 that is mostly just knowing the parts and the general function of the sytem. However, we all learn differently so what's harder for me might be easier for you or vice versa.

Thanks the info. So, its really a set 2 years from start to finish? I already have all prerequisites so that helps... my prof. is really hard for 203 and I'm hoping to get an A- at this point.

Thanks for the recommendation, will check her out.. taking chem and 204 this fall so hopefully good professors then...

Good luck with scb203, and yeah it is a mininum of 2 years to finish the program.
