Any Laguardia Community College Fall 2017 Nursing Students?

Not sure if this is the right place for this kind of discussion. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm April, 19 and will be attending laguardia this fall as a freshman. :unsure:I'm not in the clinical phase yet, so I believe the school consideres me an Undeclared Health major until I do reach it. Just wondering is anyone starting out at laguardia as well and perhaps we could get to know each other. :D

Was A&P 2 fun? I mean lab wise. I was kinda let down by the sheep heart dissection

It's only fun if you're into it and if you have a great prof. and groupmates. Make sure to make time for the tutor lab and try to get some friends to study with you coz I just think it's better that way. Go there even for an hour or two coz it will help you alot in the actual practical lab. The sheep heart is nothing compared to the rat. Coz the heart is like a hardened fat and it's not gross at all compared to the rat. The rat is a whole rat that you have to really cut open to see the organs. But it didn't really gross me out except for the smell of formalin which I can't stand smelling for a long period of time.

Oh yeah I always go to study hall. Hopefully it is not too competitive for the fall semester.

U mean for the fall candidacy? I hope so too coz I'm in it. I just found out from the department that they will email people on July 11 if they got in or not and as well a mail. Did you apply for the program?

yeah i applied already; all I have to now is do well on my 2 SCB finals and my chem final to get A's. I know i got A's in both psy and eng. You applied for fall aswell?

Yup. Well goodluck to us and I'm sure you'll do good in your finals. Who's your prof for AnP2 and Chem? And how was your teas?

Hi guys!

So I received an email today saying that everyone that applied for fall 2018 candidacy have to go pick up the acceptance/rejection letters in person on July 11. I hope I get in. I still don't know my final grades for AnP1 and SCC 110, grades are due on Thursday. Who else apply for the fall? I'm so anxious

Somebody told me it was 3.0, but I don't know it seems very low... What do you think? She said her advisor told her that.

Really? That's good news! Now my friend has a chance. Lol! I wont be surprised if it's 3.0 because my old classm8 who got in the program last fall told me that the cutoff for spring was 3.0 aswell.
