Hi,
Does anyone know of any hopsitals in the state of Arizona that will pay for nursing school in whole or even in part or where I might find this information? Thanks!

Banner I know off hand pays for your school. If you are bilingual you have a higher chance of getting in right now, but you have to have all your pre-reqs & co-reqs done to get in, then you have to work for them for 3 years I think it is. They may be changing that because of the economy because they have been laying people off.
Most others have some kind of repayment plan, the VA being the best for that. They prefer BSN's

yeah i was looking into this too but it seems if you read the banner website or john c lincoln you need to be in a certain college, mainly like a maricopa community college and have the pre-reqs done. i have no clue what it is like with colleges like everest or chamberlain..
No one pays for those because of the costs with each. I checked into those as well.

Banner is the only one I know of. You have to have certain prereq's and NET done and be on a waiting list at one of the MCCCD schools. Their website is bannerhealth.com-go to careers, education, education assistance. It will give you the info for their program. You have to attend an information session to get the application. If you are selected, you do sign a promisory note stating you will work full-time for them for at least 3 years. If you decide to go somewhere else, you have to pay them back. They cover tuition, books, and fees. Good luck!!

I have a friend whom worked for Banner and was going to school for her RN but it was difficult for her to maintian her work schedule and her school schedule. She obtained a 69 during the first semester and the requirement was a 70% or higher therfore she was dropped from the program. Huge bummer for her. Be sure to weigh the pro's and con's of this as many of them required a contract after your school has been completed.

John C will pay a yearly amount around 6k for your student loans. DOES NOT MATTER what school you go to. However, to get them to pay for your entire school, you do need to go to a specific school.

Scottsdale Healthcare pays for employees to go to school. They reimburse for degrees like business, but they pay tuition up front for degrees like nursing. They pay $5,250 a year, which, since the program is sixteen months to two years, covers the whole program. They don't pay up front for books, but they supposedly reimburse.
And they do this all with no strings attached. There is no obligation to work for them when you graduate. I think you just have to be employed for 90 days in either a part time (at least 16 hours a week) or full time position before they'll pay. On call positions do not get the benefit.

It really is a great company to work for, and they have new job openings all the time.
