hi
columbia presbyterian has a nurse intern program for new grads who want to work in ICU. you have to apply and interview twice, it is very competitive and they only take 10-12 people, 2 for each adult ICU. it is a great program though if you are interested in adult critical care. also their ICUs are very high acuity so be prepared. other than that, most hospitals only hire new grads into step-down units with the chance to transfer to ICU after 6months to 1 year. If you have a senior clinical or externship in ICU you may be able to talk your way into ICU interviews at NYU or NY Methodist. Good luck!

Hi, I am a recent BSN grad. Do you know of any hospitals in NYC that would take new grads in thier ICU? I have looked around and many do not take new grads starting out in the ICU. Any help would be appreciated....Thank you.
