I have the same problem - you should have seen me right before I tested. My hands were shaking SO bad!!! Try not to think about it. Study often and repeat your studies, do practice questions (esp. on prioritizing!), take time for yourself that does NOT include studying, and pray. Oh, and get good sleep - easier said than done, I know!
:tbsk: A nice relaxing bath helps A LOT!!!
thanx for ur advice..im glad to know that im not the only one...well i hope u did awesome on ur test..i will be practicing questions n will try to take some time off for myself..thanx again. :)
Your welcome! And thank you - I passed! Another thing you need to due when you get to the testing center and start your test, is to pretend that you're taking a regular exam for school. It worked for me because all of our tests were on the computer. It helped ease some of the anxiety of it being the NCLEX! Also remember that if you go over question 75 that you are still in the game!
I'm sure you will do just fine. I'll keep you in my prayers!
thanx for ur advice, help, courage and being there...wat would we do without each other...well im so glad that u passed :)!! Nurses RulZZ!!! i'll be praying too..thanx again :) good luck for everything

The same happened to me, except the anxiety attacks started two weeks prior. I tried taking deep breaths and as silly as it may sound, I imagined I had a stress ball and flexed and relaxed my hands, making a fist and releasing. Hey it helped! The best advice I can give for the day before your exam is try not to study or practice questions. On the day of your exam, as stated above, take the test as if you are taking the test at school or home. This will help you stay calm. *wine
Good luck to you!

:cry:I am now freaking out even more than before. One of the responses said that if you went over the 75 questions, you were still okay. I am very worried, I just took my test yesterday and the computer shut off at 75. Not only was the test difficult, but now I am worried that I did not pass either. HELP!

I finish school is mid-April and have started using subliminal tapes for "test taking" and "memory improvement". I have used subliminal tapes in the past and have had great results with them. Just an alternative assistance idea.
DON"T WORRY!!! It was something that our instructor told us to reassure us IF our test went over 75 questions. Most of the people that I know that have had 75 questions passed. Don't worry about it! People pass at 75, 265 and everything inbetween! I'm sure you'll be fine. Take a nice relaxing bath and relax.

Try and listen to some music that calms you and not pump you up. Maybe Gospel, classical, or instrumental. Go see a movie or go bowling. Also if it is not to late, tell as few people as possible when your test date is. This will keep people from calling constantly asking you if you are ready. This only aids in the feeling of anxiety. Also When you sit down at the computer take a deep breathe and say I will pass this exam. Whenever you feel anxious close your eyes take a deep breathe and say a silent prayer.:typing
You will do well!!!:redpinkhe

Hi,
Thanks for your comment. Glad to see that I'm not the only one freaking out! I'm taking the Nclex-RN on March 11th and I have been anxious and not sleeping well before I even graduated nursing school in December 2007. Go figure!!
I'm sure we'll all do well. I have been practicing with ATI Testing and wonder if I should also get the Kaplan Qbank. Any advice anyone?
Thanks.
