Hey, just wondering if anyone else is currently attending or about to start the ADN program at Henry Ford C.C.? Walking through the Health Careers building, I notice that all of the past graduating class pictures on the walls don't have very many male faces on them. I am on the bubble between starting Fall '09 or Winter '10.

I'm not at HFCC, but I am in the area. Male nurses are generally pretty thin on the ground in some places, but there will be other guys in your class.
I wouldn't worry about. My class is about 20% male but I'm the token guy in my clinicals and study groups. And it's not an issue.
The attitude at school seems to be "a nurse is a nurse, regardless of gender". That's not always true on the floors, but it's getting better I think.

I am a girl...but I just finished at HFCC. There was a decent amount of guys in my classes. Obviously girls out numbered but more than just 1 guy. I'd say 15-20% But I am not for sure...oh I just counted on my picture about 30 out of 200...so 15%.
