Any Graduates from WGU-RN?

Published

Hello

I am thinking of WGU. I've taken many online classes in the past and I've always done well. Nursing is whole other cow! aside from online course work can anyone that has attended give me advise on this school? what is your feed back? any regrets?

Specializes in NICU, ICU, PICU, Academia.

If you're thinking of the pre-licensure RN program, be aware it is only available in five states (IN, TX, CA, UT, and FL)

Full disclosure: I work for WGU

I am also a two-time grad (RN-to-BSN and MSN)and was pleased with my experience. Fully accredited, non-profit, NLN Center of Excellence

Thank you

Yes I am lucky to live in CA.

I appreciate your feedback. It's scary when you think about all the for profit universities out there, but that's one thing

That attracted me to WGU that they r NP and their counselors don't get paid based on commissions

From what I have read on AN it's very hard to get into in SoCal. You have to pass the classes before you are allowed to start clinicals. Most have almost a 4.0 GPA and maybe a prior Bachelor's degree. I don't think online classes are hard; it's the getting accepted as they take less students per cohort than traditional schools.
