Hello, im posting on here hopefully seeking advice/information on Nursing Programs in the WNY/Buffalo-Niagara area
Are there any students or nurses out there who have gone to Niagara County Community College or ECC....these are my top 2 choices. Im seeking advice from people who have gone to either of these schools and tell me what they were like.
Im interested in basically everything you can tell me about these programs minus difficulty because I know it will be hard lol.
Im really concerned about both because i've heard rumors about NCCC that they have a list and fail students they dont want to pass on to Nursing 3, and I also heard ECC has really high retention rates, faculty and staffing issues and declining board scores.
Any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated....thanks

Hello. I graduated from NCCC's RN program. It was a difficult and very demanding program but I made it through with A's. As long as you keep up with the work and really commit yourself, it is totally doable. Also, I truly don't think they just fail people that they don't like. I heard this rumor numerous times but I don't believe it. To fail, you need to not make the points needed to pass or really screw up bad in clinical. We had a really high pass rate for the NCLEX. I attribute this to the very difficult exam questions NCCC uses throughout the program. It really helped! I didn't even study for the NCLEX. NCCC prepared me enough over the two years.
