Any good nursing books?

Published

I'm just finishing my 6th month of my first year of being an RN and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of good books to read that are nursing based. I'm not looking for text book style readings, but books that nurses may have written about their experiences on the job.

Anyone know of any good ones I can download on my Kindle?

Thanks! :)

Echo Heron has written several really excellent books on nursing: Intensive Care, Condition Critical and Tending Lives. Some of them are a bit older, but I've always liked her style.

Abby Jackson's Naked Hope is also a good read, though the style is a little different and the religious undertones may turn some folks off.

The Good Nurse. It's an account of Charles Cullen the serial killer nurse who is estimated to be one of Americas most prolific serial killers.

Thanks for the suggestions! ;)
