Does anyone work at Fl Hosp who would be willing to chat? Doesn't matter which site/campus. I have a job offer as a foreign nurse (RN) and would appreciate some insight into what it's like to work there.
Thanks,
Tina :)

Which one? I have a friend at FL. Hospital Deland.
I've been offered Celebration Health but as I'm coming from the UK and facing a wait for immigration, the International Nurse Recruiter has told me things could change by the time I get there. It could be that I would be placed wherever my skills are required at the time. I really don't mind where I get placed, I'm just happy to have a job with Florida Hospital. So any info would be great, particularly what they are like to work for.

I currently work at Florida Hospital Orlando and Love it! I've been there for just over a year now and my only complaint about the organization is the documentation (too much double documenting) other than that they are a great system to work for. The staff is friendly, pay is competitive (for FL anyway), and they are very big on continuing education (which I really admire about the organization!) If you are going to work at Celebration I think you will really enjoy it. I haven't been through it yet, but from what I understand its not quite as busy as the downtown hospital and its one of the newest hospitals in the system. Its very modern, and a lot of people comment that FL Hosp. Celebration resembles a Hotel rather than a Hospital. Hope this gives you a little insight, let me know if you have any other questions...

I work for Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Central Florida. I agree above with Brian...there is a lot of documentation. We have not gone computerized with charting yet, so it's all by hand & it's a lot of paperwork. I'm also a little discouraged as they seem to be eliminating patient care techs at night & are trying primary nursing in my unit - PCU. I don't know what it's like at other Florida Hospitals. Each one seems to operate differently. I still think it's a great place to work though.
