Any Fall 2017 Phillips School of Nursing at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Students?!

Published

Hello! I've been accepted into PSON AAS Program beginning Fall 2017 and its odd not to find any of my fellow classmates on this site :unsure:It would be nice to get familiar with one another before the program begins & update one another on how we are coming along in preparation of the program. Maybe even share some information from other threads as far as increasing our success in the program! The competition is finally over and we are officially a family Well, hope everyone enjoys their day and I'm excited to hear from my soon to be fellow classmates! Congratulations

Oh okay , thanks. I have a bachelors of science so i have mostly all my pre reqs also and did volunteering and an internship in a medical office. I guess i still have hope for January admission.

Hey! Those accepted, are you thinking how to go about financing for the program. I would love to hear.

Yes please provide some insight. Cause this is my main concern.

for people who received decisions on past Friday's what time around did you get the email about your decision?

Hey guys, I got accepted to the AAS program!

I just heard.

I waited all day because Ms. Gallo was at a workshop but she let me know as soon as she got back to the office. Decisions have been made so call or email :)

Congrats!! Do you mind me asking your stats? I just want to know what they are looking for...

I withdrew my application , going to LIU instead

@ Eshaqayum20 Hey I did the same thing as you and emailed Mrs. Gallo and also got accepted. She said that the actual acceptance email with all the documents will be sent at a later date. Any idea when that will be, maybe she told you something more specific?

Also, for those who got accepted, anyone know if the Math for Medications course can be substituted for another math course. It's the only course I didn't take.

I don't think they're looking for a particular academic fit. It seems to me that they are looking for hard-working and passionate people. I have a bachelors in psychology and counseling from South Africa and worked as a drug abuse coordinator at a social services office for a while. I've volunteerd with organizations for battered women and sex trafficking victims but nothing explicity medical related. I was an au pair for 2 years here in NY and then I did all my pre-requisites at BMCC. They take a very holistic approach and it seems like they look at you as a person.

Has everyone else heard back?

I am still waiting to hear back!

I just received the formal acceptance letter by email (Ms. Gallo told be before that I got accepted week ago). I would have to take Math for Medications and Ethics course. Anyone here can recommend a CUNY school where I can take them over the summer. Thanks.
