Hi, Guys
I will graduate from LPN school this month and I have decided to apply to Excelsior! I want to know if there is anyone that is newly starting Excelsior (preferably residing in New York City) so that I can have a study partner or study group. I will like to finish all the classes needed before a year (8/2013).
In September I plan on taking the 2 classes that can be taken before enrollment.
Hi,
I would study for ALL the exams, regardless of your background. Health Safety can be tricky, so following the content guide that excelsior provides would be a great way to begin studying.
Lots of people try to cut corners and end up failing the exams - as you can read throughout allnurses. The exams in general are not easy. I have used the content guides for 6 of the 8 theory exams, and have not been misled.
Good Luck!
i think the cost will be the most challenging thing for me, but i will have to live like a bum for a while until i can complete the program i think i am going to start with the transition class so i can brush up on all my old nursing history stuff. good practice for studying but not too hard
i attend beckley nursing prep in brooklyn which is a branch of excelsior they bring the online program into a classroom setting 2 days a week i started in september and finished anp 1 last week and start anp 2 next week you complete a class every month so far its a great program there website is Beckley Nursing Prep, LLC they also offer online classes good luck to everyone!!! i think they also have a video on youtube just type in beckley nursing prep.

Hey everyone, when do we want to start this study group? Gena, you are the original poster that started this thread so feel free to let us know when and where. IMHO, I think a center location spot would be somewhere around Grand Central Station since many of us will be traveling via metro north. At least that's what's good for me. Lol. How often should we meet? What day?
