Hi Brandon, Congrats on your Choice for Nsg. I am not from MO but have a penny to throw in. I would chech with the MO Nsg board to see where they stand with E.C. I am from the peach state and did not have a problem at all getting a job. Although I did have to set for the Nclex in another state and endorse into Ga...all in all everything has been peachy.:biggringi

it's the same situation with florida. sitting in another state qualifies you for endorsement.
don't believe the posts that imply you can't get a license in a state like florida or georgia. having a license in another state means that the state you're applying to has to either endorse you or lose another nurse. there is a shortage, and they will endorse you. you'll also get job offers galore.
it's common for states to have rules against initial licensure for excelsior grads, but give endorsement freely. all they're doing is giving lip service to the control freaks represented on the board of nursing. unfortunately, it's a silly game they've got to play.
i'm tickled to death that i took the excelsior route :).
medic74, i'm also a paramedic/excelsior grad. it's a great way to go!

I am a paramedic with 15 plus years in EMS. I am interested in enrolling in the Excelsior program. Is anyone from Missouri that might have advice for me? Any problems with this program being recognized for licensure by the MO. State Board of Nursing?
I am new to this forum and new to the website. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!!
