Any denver hospitals assist with interview expenses?

U.S.A. Colorado

I am wondering if anyone knows of any Denver area hospitals that assist with interviewing expenses? I have visited a few different hospitals in the past that completely paid for all the interviewing expenses, and a few that will reimburse you for X amount of dollars for interviewing if you accept a position.

Thanks for your help!

University Hospital in Denver might; it is also one of the highest tech facilites around.

I know they fully trained, with orientation time paid, an Agency Nurse, for ICU. They did want a commitment of one year.

What kind of interviewing cost are you refering to?

That is pretty amazing!! An AGENCY nurse?? s/he remained agency for one year rather than becoming staff??

That would SOOO Not happen here.

Any costs, really.

One place paid for airpline tickets for me & dh, put us in a hotel, and gave us a rental car x3 days to "explore" the area a bit and see if we liked it.

One place paid my airline tickets, hotel and meals, no car.

Another few other places offered X amount of dollars reimbursement for any expenses one occured due to interviewing such as gas mileage, airline ticket, food, hotel, etc. if you accepted a job with them.

These are just examples.

Wow, I have never heard of this. I assume they only reimburse you if you are accepting the job with them. What happens if you spend the money to fly out and don't accept the position? Are you out the money you spent? Sorry to sound stupid, but this doesn't happen in my neck of the woods. Heck, my husband recently had to pay $25 for parking for an interview and didn't get reimbursed.

I bet, nekhismom, you could get them to pay for your travel to the interview and or moving expenses etc. It may take time, back and forth, to set it up though.

Yes, the places that offered reimbursement only paid if you accepted the position with them. The places that brought me out did not require me to pay them back, and I was not obligated to accept a job if I did allow them to pay for my expenses.

nightngale1998, I think there is one place I had spoken to specifically that said they will reimburse you, but it means that you will really have to negotiate for it. No one is going to offer it, and no one is going to give it up easily. I'll just have to get ready to negotiate when I move, eh? :)
