Hello All,
I'm Regina, I've been in Home Care for 7yr and this is my first year as a CNA. I work in a hospital through an agency. I work on every floor even ED. I have other certs Medical Billing, Medical Assisting, Patient Care Technician, Home Health Aide, and Personal Care Aide. Most annoying thing is those IV drips when the nurse let them ring for hrs without even checking on the pt. Going next month to try to register for LPN school. I would like to work as a nurse so I can pay my own way through school to ultimately become a Radiology Technician.
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone would care to give me their opinion on this. There are many tuff manual tasks for all healthcare workers. Lifting & pivoting are two. Of the two, I feel that assisting with pivoting is harder to do. I feel that it is more of a challenge for the patient than raising to their feet. Does anyone agree or disagree? My field CNA, CMA.
Hello, my name is Leah. I am currently a CNA, 1 year CNA, I worked at a assisted facility then moved to an Assisted living care hoping to move the ladder up as a Med. Tech. I am a first year college student at a comm unity college, just doing my general education and pre-health science as an Associate degree. I want to become an Rn specifically working with the elders since I am always around them.
My biggest issues is deciding to major in Psychology then branch over to a University nursing program. But I am still undecided. My real question is do I really need to major in psycology to become an Rn? Should I take advantage of my community college nursing school (LPN certificate) or go after my associates degree and transfer to a university. Money is my problem but I am still unclear, I have this plan but I don't know if I should go through it because what if it is not worth it! Is anyone going through something similar to this? PLEASE HELP!
