Hey, I also applied for the summer 2007 program! Have you had your interview yet. Mine was yesterday, and I don't think I can stand to wait for 2 more weeks to find out if I get in. I think Brookhaven is a great program. 100% of the students who have graduated (ok so there has only been 1 class graduate) passed the NCLEX on the first try, and the instuctors all seem really nice.
Hope to see you in the program! Are you taking any classes this semester?
Hi, kalmeira! No, I have not had my interview yet, mine is on December 1st. I figured that by taking it then I would only have to wait about three days until I found out if I made it in or not. It's really good to hear that they have a perfect passing rate on the NCLEX and that the instructors are good. I think that Brookhaven's program seems to be the best fit for me. How did your interview go? Do you think you did well on it? I am taking classes this semester, finishing up my support courses--I still have A&P and Micro left but I won't be taking them at Brookhaven, probably at a community college closer to me.
The interview went okay. I did well, but I am not crazy about the group interview format. I can't help but compare myself to all the others in the group. Everyone seemed to do well on the interview, so that just make me more nervous! :) I like individual interviews more I think. It's good you won't have to wait too long. Good luck on your interview. Like I said the faculty is very nice, so don't worry too much!
happy dance - happy dance
i got in....yoowhoo!
it was a very long day! to say that i am excited is an understatement; however, i am also very sad...my good friend and study partner did not get in, i will miss this part of our friendship very much.
congrats to all....(as i drink my champagne)!
Congrats everyone! I really (really) wish I could join all of you, I have been hoping to get in for so long. I suppose I could still join you, Mrs. Cortez told me that all the ones who didn't get in are in the alternate pool. That would be great.
I think I am going to take a CNA course here nearby my house. This way when I apply to Mountainview I will have some hospital experience under my belt. It's just a 4 week course, and I don't have to worry about getting in there.

Kalmeira, so sorry you won't be joining us, I was really hoping I would be in this class with you. Who knows, you may get picked from the alternate pool. The CNA course sounds like a good idea though, it can help you to get an idea about what area of the hospital you are most interested in working and gives you more experience in a hospital setting. I still have my fingers crossed for you though.

I am wondering if there is anyone here who has applied to Brookhaven CC's ADN program for next year or who has attended or graduated from this school. I applied for their pilot Summer 2007 program, and would like to find out more information about their program from anyone who may have attended or knows someone who attended Brookhaven.
Thanks!
