I'm looking at applying to FGCU and Wolford College for admission in Spring 2013. I was curious if there is anyone who recently interviewed at FGCU and what the interviews are like? I've found plenty of info about Wolford but nothing so far about FGCU. Any information would be helpful! Thanks!
I am trying to decide between FGCU and Wolford. Help me decide. The following are the differences:1. FGCU - university-based (amenities of the university are accessible, stricter criteria re: accreditation)
Wolford - college (stand-alone private institution, can do whatever they want)
2) FGCU - cheaper ($ 30k tuition fee)
Wolford - expensive ($60 k tuition fee)
3) FGCU - 81 credit hours
Wolford - 72 credit hours
4) FGCU - Masters of Science in Nursing Major in Nurse Anesthesia (MSN)
Wolford - Masters of Science in Nurse Anesthesia (MS)
5) FGCU - only a 2 CRNAs comprising the faculty, the rest are non-CRNAs
WOlford - MDs and all CRNAs comprised the faculty
6) FGCU - thesis / oral defense (i am not sure of this, please clarify)
Wolford - no thesis
7) FGCU - small class size - 15-18 students/class / academic year
Wolford - 37 students/ class 2x a year admission
Any inputs? thoughts?
I only applied to FGCU and I think that 1 and 7 are the biggest reasons why I didn't choose wolford. 1 they can do whatever they want, and 7, 1/2 the experience of FGCU. Do you want to be competing with someone in the OR to be hands on?
