Any applicants to Florida Gulf Coast University?

I'm looking at applying to FGCU and Wolford College for admission in Spring 2013. I was curious if there is anyone who recently interviewed at FGCU and what the interviews are like? I've found plenty of info about Wolford but nothing so far about FGCU. Any information would be helpful! Thanks!

Wow! So not as great chances as we hoped then. Well if it is meant to be then it will happen. They let you know by the time you leave? I can't imagine how they do that. Don't they have to meet and discuss the candidates and all? Unless they have time to do that while we are touring the campus etc.

Hokieicurn, are you wanting to stay somewhere close to FGCU or would you rather stay on the beach or something? It's about 8-10 miles or so from school to Fort Myers Beach.

Yeah, he told me they tried that method last year and it worked pretty well. He said they try and meet after the interviews to discuss it and then let you know before you leave so you aren't left wondering. I'm thinking it would be during the tour/talking to the current students. If they have 30 ppl though they may decide to not do that I would think. I'm excited to meet you guys/potential classmates!

I'm thinking chances may be better than 50/50...if they have 16 spots to fill and 30 interviewing I would think they would have to offer more than the 16 because not everyone who interviews will choose to attend. I'm really excited and nervous all in one!!!

They will offer more than 16 for sure. Someone I know was 5th alternate I heard....

Does anyone know what time we will be finished on Saturday? I am trying to book flights and don't know how much time to give myself. I was thinking it may go to 4 or 5?

I asked and he said plan all day and we will be done around 6pm

If anyone is looking for hotels, there are three that I can think of of hand that are right down the road from FGCU.Hilton Garden InnHomewood SuitesHoliday InnIf you wanted to stay on the beach it's a bit of a drive. I would recommend staying somewhere within walking distance of "times square". That's where all the shops and restaurants are on Ft Myers beach.
