Simethecone (Mylicon) works well for gas. At least it works on gas in the GI tract. Eventually that gas will work it's way out. Getting mobile will help get it moving out faster too. Good luck for a speedy recovery for him.

Thank You Very Much!!!

God Bless

Would he be able to rock in a rocking chair? The faster the better.

My prayers are with you and your client for a speedy recovery!

No he would not be able to do that. But thank you.

walking, even in small amounts. Also, sitting up versus lying supine.

Sometimes laying on the left side with the feet slightly higher than the head will help.

This gas can be very painful for post-op people and it just needs time to reabsorb.

Hi,

Many many years ago, after having C-section (x2), I was told to drink warm tea, or warm clear broth. This helped quite a bit. It not only helped get rid of the gas, but is was soothing and helped with the post-op discomfort as well. Hope this helps.
