Although official letters have not been mailed, just curious if anyone is thinking they may be in for Spring, 2005. I've been on the wait list forever and I'm cautiously hopeful that my #46 might mean that I finally made it in.

Hey there! I was just wondering if you made it? I plan to apply next January after I finish Physiology & Pharmacology. Luckily I've already completed all my other non-nursing courses so I should have a high score. When you say 46, are you referring to your score? I assume so. Can you tell me exactly how long you've been on the list? I was at the hairdressers a few days ago, and the guy told me that even if you have a 4.0 it's a two year wait. I'm starting to freak. I'd consider going to UT for my BSN instead, but I hear ACC is better and more highly respected... have you heard anything about that before? Anyways, looking for some kind of clue. Good luck to you!!!
I was on the wait list for 3 years and have a 4.0. I did not have all my coreqs finished until the semester before I got accepted though. My daughter who is also on the wait list has all her prereqs and coreqs completed and she is on her second review and at number 230 something. She has a 3.5 GPA. This program has a long wait but in my opinion is worth it. ( When I said #46 I was referring to the number on the rank list. ) There are about 490 students waiting currently. I did make it and am almost done with my first semester. It is a very tough program but it is a very detailed and strong program and I feel fortunate to be in it. I would say apply and hang in there as I think they are looking at increasing the numbers of students admitted. Good luck to you!!

Just had to say congratulations on getting in the ADN program! I to have heard how very tough the program is. While at the hospitals last year I remember hearing from the nursing staff how well prepared ACC ADN graduates were on the job compared to graduates from other schools. I hope to get into the mobility track program this fall if all goes well. I have to get through Micro. this semester and still take my HESI exam. Again, congratulations on getting in and good luck in the program.

I read that the mobility track is where they accept LVN's and EMT's, but do they also accept CNA's or (patient care) hospital experience? Does anyone know? Isn't it a faster pace than the traditional track?
Hi, I am not sure if they accept CNA or PCT experience. As far as I know they only accept EMT's and LVN's with 1900 hours of direct patient care. It is fast paced due to the program being 3 semesters long. You can try calling the program at (512)223-5700 to check if your experience is acceptable. Good luck!
