I recently had my anti-Hbs titer because we are required by our facility. My result is 30 and I believe that is enough because in what I have read, anything above 10 is immune. I also just completed all the 3 HepB doses recently.
I spoke with one of my colleagues and they told me that their titers were like 40, 30, 50, etc. And they were required to take the booster. I told them, from what I know you just need anything more than 10. But, they said they were told it has to be at least a hundred!
I am confused. Anyone who is expert in vaccination and immunity here? Thanks!

If you JUST finished your series then your titers arent going to be accurate just yet. Im thinking you need to wait like 4 weeks after your last dose to have the titer drawn. Immunity isnt instant.

While 10 IU/L is the standard, the Hepatitus B states that you can still be considered for a booster. http://www.hepb.org/professionals/acip_summary_professionals.htm
Current research is suggesting that boosters may not even be necessary, due to "remembered immunity" even when your serum levels drop. Most people prefer to play it safe.
