Antelope Valley College Spring 2016

Hello everyone,

I have just applied to the nursing program at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster. I just wanted to see if anyone else has applied yet. Hopefully we see how this goes.

Me to! Are you guys gonna go to the one at the college in January? Or somewhere else before then?

There's a CPR Class upcoming on saturdays at Palmdale. I dont know the costs though. Has anyone started buying their books and stuff yet?

I haven't bought anything but I did go on Amazon & got all the books in my cart haha & I tried to go on the all heart site for scrubs but it wouldn't come up :/

oh man the books cost an arm and a leg lol easily $700+ plus we need scrubs and equipment. Yeah i tried the scrub website but it was not working at all.. i tried googling it and stuff but i did not work. Anyone have a clue how to look up the scrubs? I heard its a totally new company for this sem so its not like the old one they use

Oh maybe they don't have the site set up yet then? Yeah I'm buying all my books used for like half/quarter of the price each because financial aid doesn't come in until after the semester starts. Do you know any places like staples or Office Depot that have scanners? Lol how are we suppose to upload everything?!

Yeah use a scanner. A freind who got accepted a few sems back said she used her phone and there was an app to scan the documents. Then she sent those pictures to her computer and uploaded those. Just make sure they are clear.

Which insurance did you guys chose? I might go with NSO.

Oh and if anyone finds out the price for the CPR class please let me know! Thanks in advance!

I might do the NSO too. Im gonna call sometime this week.. I figure it's somewhere around $40-$50 like everywhere else

Oh man my money is just going down so fast xD But i already bought all my books, got them for a good price used too! Only purchased the "Required" ones and some "recommended" that were on the list. I just want to know how to buy the scrubs and what equipment we actually need so i can look for them too. Does anyone have the list? Stethoscope?
