Remember that when the Hep B vaccine was introduced the same people said the same thing. I don't know about you...but I have never met a newborn who was just biting at the bit to go have sex right after they completed their series.

I guess my point is that we should really encourage parents to get the HPV vaccine when their children are as young as possible. This has two benefits: 1) higher rates of protection and 2) less need for parents to worry about the sexual nature of the disease. But if an older girl comes in for the shot, parents might be encouraged to use that opportunity to talk to their daughter about other sexually transmitted diseases.
