Another step forward

Well, I just looked and all of my transcripts have arrived at Excelsior! Now to wait and hear what the accept and what they don't accept. I hope all my sciences come in under the time limit, but one may not.

Wonder how long this determination and learning of the classes I need will take now.

Well, all the transcripts are in. Received an email that said it could take 2 - 3 weeks before they let me know anything. Just wondering if anyone knows how long it can actually take for this part of the process.

I feel like I heard back pretty fast but this was 5 yrs ago lol. They took all my credits that could apply

How exciting! :) Are you doing the exam or class method? I bet you're so beyond ready to get started.

I haven't decided yet. Will see how many classes I have to take first. Probably a combination. I am so ready. I have had a lot of ADN classes already. But, due to many things, did not complete. Now, I don't want to be in class 3 days a week, clinical 2 days a week and to work in addition to that.

Oh well that's awesome! I wish I had less classes to take. I can't be in a regular program either because when I tried to enroll my son in daycare, he wouldn't have it. He was in hysterics for the 2 weeks he was there

It will be interesting to see what they accept. I am guessing that I will have to take a lot of classes, but we shall see. part of me says study and take the tests, the other part says do the classes as I do do better with deadlines.

I'm not even considering the exams because I know I will study until forever even if I set a date. I will just keep rescheduling the test.

I looked over the syllabi for all of the classes & they are all the same. Quizzes, discussion posts, 2 tests (ch. 1-4 & ch. 5-8) & one 6-10 page paper. I don't know how difficult the classes will be but that seems more manageable than studying for one big test. I'd rather save that for the NCLEX.

I now have the transcript review and know what I need to take. Now to get registered for a class or two or should I say a test or two.

I am registered for the Information and Literacy class online and will do A&P 1 by exam. The journey has begun.

I have passed phase 1 of the nursing theory credits per exam. I had to take a couple prerequisite courses online- sociology and algebra. Now I am started nursing theory courses online to keep me on track. ( Losing all my motivation for self study with things happening in my personal life) I plan on being all done with my theory work by the end of Dec. I cannot find any info from anyone who has actually taken the courses.

I finished and passed the Information Literacy class and now on to A&P 1 since that class I had previously is just over 5 years old. Then it will be on to the nursing classes.
