Another 75 cut off question

Hello All!!!!

Congrats to those that passed and good luck to those that are waiting!!!

I took the test this morning - yikes!!!!!!!! :uhoh3:

The computer shut off at 75 and i wanted to yell NOOOOOOOOOO I need to still prove myself!!!!!!

Anyway, curious, does anyone know of anyone that actually failed when it turned off at 75???? I know that's so negative to ask but I keep reading and reading how everyone passed with 75 but havent heard anyone that didnt pass.

Thanks & please send me positive vibes!!! I need it!!!!!!!

Good luck to you - let us know when you hear! :)

I know this isn't exactly what you are looking for, but my test cut off at 75 last week and I passed (Thank God for 2 day call in service!) even though I was convinced I failed. At least three other girls I graduated with cut off and passed at 75. So good luck. Waiting is the worst. I will keep thinking positive thoughts for you and everyone else waiting for results!! :p

all the best to you!

I am friends with many who own and teach a national NCLEX study program. They SAY that some people answer so blatantly stupid that the computer shuts them off at 75. However, I have only known one person who didn't get exactly 75 questions...everyone I know has passed.

The 75-and-off thing doesn't make sense for bad scores. The computer is programmed to keep asking simple questions until the answers show competence...then it would step it up a notch. This would mean there would definitely be more than 75 questions.

Relax! I'm sure you did great and we'll be seeing RN after your name!

:) best of luck :)
