in order to streamline the threads on this topic, i ask that everyone that passes their nursing assistant certification test to please post it in this thread as oppose to starting a separate one. i appreciate everyone's help with this.

I passed! It's my son's 3rd birthday and I feel like I just bought him and my 8 month old daughter the moon. I'm preparing for the RN program so this is one little step but I'm so ecstatic right now!! I had hand washing, urinary output, dressing a person with a right affected arm, lateral positioning, transferring a person from bed to w/c. I was soooo nervous and sure I bombed it. The lady kept telling me "You're doing fine, BREATHE!!!!" Congrats to everyone else!!!
Im hoping to post my name here with all you wonderful CNA's soon =]. start my classes this sat June 28th..and hoping to go onto LPN school 2009. Im nervous , also Im 37 ... sooo Im getting started a bit late . But I wanted to raise babies first . Thank you for this thread ..it is a true inspiration;)..~Sherie

Good luck!!!!!
I passed...except in Ohio we call it STNA, not CNA. I took the test in Ashland on Sunday, and wow, was it easy! The RN evaluator was sooo relaxed and basically just had me talk her through everything. Before I even started the skills she told me that unless we made any "really grave errors," she wouldn't fail us! And here I was ready to do everything perfectly :chuckle
