Weber, Apply for pre-nursing. I did not get into the nursing program, but I did get into the pre-nursing program. I start in August. If you take A&P 1 & 2, Med Term, and college math at their school, and maintain an overall 3.25 gpa you will have a guaranteed spot in their nursing program. You will get this in writing once you have been accepted into pre-nursing.

I start my job in a hospital on Monday. I got it right after passing my state exam. I cannot compare working in a hospital to working in a LTC facility because I did my clinical in the hospital.

I just got a job working PRN in a hospital float pool. We have the option to work 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts.

I passed mine today! I can't wait to work!

There are many good options here. There are several ADN programs, a couple of BSN programs, and even a diploma program. I am not sure about an accelerated program though. You are bound to find something that will work for you. Good luck.

I am finishing my CNA course this week. I loved it. You will definitely gain valuable experience in the clinical component of the course. It made me realize that I was making the right decision in becoming a nurse. Good luck to you!

I got 2 rejection letters for Fall '08. There is a school here that provides a guaranteed spot in their nursing program as long as you take A&P 1 & 2, Med Term, & Math at their school and maintain a B average. I have already taken theses classes at a different school, but I am going to do this anyway so that I will have a guaranteed spot for Fall of '09.

I should hear from Carolinas in late April, Mercy and Cabarrus in the fall sometime.

I have applied to Carolinas College of Health Science, Cabbarrus College of Health Science, and Mercy. I have not heard back from them yet. I have taken most of the pre-reqs. I have finished all of my math, and my sciences. I just need to take 1 more English, and 2 electives. I have a good friend that graduated from Mercy a couple of years ago. She had no problems getting a job. Good luck to you!
