CNA to RNA (Restorative Nursing Assistant)
thanks everyone for your answers =] I talked to my instructor for CNA at my adult school witch offers RNA. It basically is a 9 week course, but only meets once a week. RNA is still "nursing", but you don't have to deal with ADLS etc. other than restoritive care. The pay I have been told is better, and the work is much easier.

CNA QUESTIONS, please help!
Hi all! I was wondering during our clinical part of a cna class, do we get to choose our facility? or is that pre-decided for us already? Also, i'm kind of concerned because my sisters wedding is a month/2months away, and my CNA program starts in a week or so, it's 8 weeks long. I was wondering when clinicals are? are they usually the weekends etc. or do we get to pick the days/times as long as we finish the required amt. of hours needed for the program? Of course if it overlaps my sis's wedding i'm going to take it off, but I was wondering will I be behind from everyone if I take a day/two days off? I'm sorry, I just don't know how this whole thing works lol, I literally just applied yesterday LOL. Thanks everyone! ~~The only dumb questions are the ones that aren't asked!~~

Hi, I just applied to a CNA program in my area, and was just wondering how many 18-22 year old cna's do you guys have in ur facilty, whether it be nursing home or hospital. I just want to see if it was uncommon or not =/ lol thanks! Also, do you think the nurses/residents will look down on me since I am just 19 years old?

Is an Associate's degree in Science required?
LOL! sorry for the shortcuts, NP as in nursing program. Because at my community college, we have a 2 year program to prior to becoming a RN. Sorry let me restate my question, Do I need to have all my G.E. classes finished by the end of my nursing program? Because at my school, we have a G.E for Science, and one for Arts (I'm assuming I need the science one) I know I should probably be asking my school or something, but that would probably be Monday. Thanks everyone! You guys really make a difference :nuke:

Is an Associate's degree in Science required?
Hi everyone, I was just wondering if a general associate's degree is needed to graduate a basic community college NP? I know that you would need the pre-req like A&P, chem. etc. to even be able to apply for a community college NP, but do I need to have an associate's degree in science to actually graduate? Thanks everyone, I have barely "discovered" this site just today, and it is VERY helpful in my quest to become a nurse!:nuke:
