Hello everyone,
I'm writing for some advice...yesterday I was running and sprained my ankle. A moderate sprain, swelling, soreness, difficuly walk and I have crutches. Today, I'm still needing crutches to walk, painfull and still swollen. I've followed the RICE and I plan on seeing my doc in the morn for more info. So anyways, I've never had a sprain and was told 2-3days and then move to an air cast. I'm a CNA on the surgical unit, and I'm supposed to work tomorrow (monday) to wednesday. I don't want to call out, but don't want to push it, so I'm asking for advice on how long it would normally take for a sprain to heal enough in order to work. I was thinking of taking tomorrow off and going back tues (that would be 3 days), is that too soon?
Thanks!:nuke:

it would be best to wait and see what your doctor has to say about it. besides you'll surely need a note from him anyway. i hope it feels better soon.

Since it is against the TOS to offer medical advice, I need to close this thread. You could try Googling sprained ankle and see if web MD or some such could give you an idea about the course of the problem.
Good Luck.
