Hi everyone! I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions, materials, or information regarding the ANCC FNP exam 2017. I have taken the exam twice and failed. I am currently 17 points away but continue to struggle. It has been a very frustrating journey so far. I am planning on taking the exam again April, 2017. Study materials I have used are Leik, Fitzgerald, APEA Q-bank, Flash cards, and practice exams. I feel like I have spent a lot of money on this exam and am hoping not to buy more materials if possible.
After taking the exam this past time the test is a blur. There was definitely a lot of professional practice information on the test but I struggle with this topic and am not sure how to tackle it. Any help would be so appreciated.
Thank you!

Congratulations, I am scheduled to take the exam on the 1st of Dec, I have already failed the AANP twice, the first time all I did was Fitzgerald and I will honestly day I didn't study that hard and I failed by 20 points, then I took Amelie review and only studied that and failed by 7 points. Needless to say, I would have to wait until Jan to AANP again. SO I am taking ANCC, I have the Leik book and have been reviewing that for about 4-5 months( lots of other things going on) but for the last 2 months Listening to Amelie review, doing Leik Practice questions, Fitzgerald Question modules, and reading my Buppert book. I think I have a pretty good handle on most of the professional questions, i just get stuck on research. here is to hoping I nail this exam this time. One thing is for sure, I know my Murmurs and labs cold, and malpractice.
Last night i was looking for help about my primary care NP exam. There were many helpful hints about the eam, mostly about the review materal . Wll i did not take any of the review courses .I did use boardvitals web site for practice. Yes i did pass first time . I graduated in September and took board 0n 20th.The questions are intresting. there are many questions about research. There many pictures of skin condiations.Good thing there were no questions that have ambguity or wordyness. This test is prety straitforward.
I am so sorry you are struggling. I too struggle. As did not pass AGACNP exam with ANCC. So depressing. Seems you are picking good resources. Have you heard of Amelia Holier? My friend just passed her FNP after taking her review course and studying her material? Remember, failing the exam does not define you. We can think of each other as we continue to strive to reach this goal. We have put in a lot of hard work. Let me k ow if I can be of further help or just an ear.

Hello!
I PASSED the ANCC 2017 exam yesterday! I had failed the AANP exam twice prior to this.
I studied every single day, every chance that I got.
I went to the APEA Amelie Hollier review in August after graduation. Her information is very well written and easy to follow. After I did not pass the first time, I did the online review. Same information, just another chance to hear it. When I did not pass the second time, that company did not want to help me so I took a different route. I purchased the Barkley manual and CDs online. I listened to them every chance I got. In the car, after the kids went to bed. I focused a lot on the "extra topics" like culture and issues in nursing. This was the most helpful on the ANCC exam. I felt the questions were written much more clearly on ANCC than AANP. I also used LEIK's book and made flashcards of all of her "exam tips." I found this to be very helpful on the exam as well!
Best of luck to all that are planning to test! I was very defeated after I failed the AANP exam twice. But I never gave up!! And I am so glad I did not. You can do it too!!
