Anatomy and Physiology at MCC (macomb community college)

U.S.A. Michigan

Hi,

Has anyone taken anatomy and physiology at macomb community college last year, that can tell me what book was used? Is it the same book as this year books?

Thank you,

Jaslene

You can use older texts for A&P, I did it with the 5th edition when the instructor had the 6th edition. I don't even remember reading the book much, you usually just use class/lecture notes to get by anyway. I hope you landed a good instructor, that can make a big difference!

I have the sixth edition A/P book for MCC if you're interested....i was going to put it on craigs list. It's in excellent condition.

I took A & P this past fall and I have the 7th Edition. However, I know of 2 professors that do not use the book at all - just their power points. You could check with your professor to see if they use the book before you purchase it.

Hi zhockeymom77, thanks for your response. Did you also purchase the anatomy and physiology revealed 2.0 CD by McGraw hill? if so, was it helpful at all?

Thank you all for your responses. I appreciate them.

I never used my anatomy book that was assigned but other online resources and my class notes from lecture. It isn't a big deal if you don't have the same edition.

I did purchase the A & P Revealed CD for about $60. Honestly it was a waste of money. The CD was so hard to navigate and was not helpful at all. I tried to sell it back to the bookstore and they were going to give me $14 for it; instead I just gave it to someone else to try. Youtube.com has many of the great videos from McGraw Hill along with their website and if you are lucky enough to have a teacher that uses Angel, you will get plenty of info from there too. do you know who you have?

The A & P 7th Edition comes with a beautiful, soft cover booklet too but I never used that either. What you do need are the 2 lab books - the one is written by Professor Ragland (who is a teacher at Macomb) and the other is a cross-reference book. It seemed kind of silly to have a cross-reference manual at first but the best advice I can give you is to skim through the entire book when you get it and utilize all that you can from it (it can make a huge difference for you).

I plan to take A&P in the winter this year.
